For Christmas we went to Forney, Texas (southeast of Dallas) to spend a week with the Brown Family. It was a great time.

We drove there and back in a rental car, a Ford Fusion, which we loved. We think that once we get a new car, that we will get a Fusion. It was roomy and really nice, not to mention the fuel efficiency that blows our trucks out of the water.

In New Mexico we stopped for church on Sunday. We didn't have our church clothes so we just wore our street clothes...it was interesting being at church and not being dressed for it. Everyone was very nice and the missionaries even sat near us...probably thinking they had scored with some investigators walking of the street until we told them we were members, lol. After Sacrament meeting we got back on the road for Texas. We pulled up next to a truck that had a friendly looking Rottweiler in the back of it. Scott rolled down my window and we said "Hi Doggie!" only to be greeted by one of the scariest barks I have ever heard. Scott rolled up my window and we burst into laughter...once we were sure we were safe from the dog!

As we were approaching El Paso a light on our dashboard came on...oil change needed! We called the rental car company and found out that we had to stop in El Paso to pick up a new car. We were totally bummed because we really liked the Fusion, luckily though, they had just had one with an oil change completed brought back to their lot so we got another Fusion (this time with Virginia license plates). The rest of our drive there was fun, but uneventful.
Once we were there, there was a lot of family everywhere ie lots of kids everywhere. There was always someone who needed babysitting, though by the end of the week Scott and I were so tired from all of the entertaining of the children.

We got to go to the Dallas Cowboy Stadium and take a tour of the field and locker rooms...it was awesome! I really like the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders so it was great to get to see their locker room. Every fall they have a show on CMT called "Making the Team: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" and I love it! When we went into the locker room it was cool because I recognized the girls from the show.
