Presenting....Oscar De La Hoya and Harry

Scott brought home another dog....a boxer puppy that we named Oscar De La Hoya. Scott got him from a lady up in Oak Glen. She found him about 3 1/2 weeks before that and was unable to keep him after no one came forward to claim him. So we started harboring another dog! He loveed playing with Sammy and is a really energetic dog....but there was a problem. We now had 6 dogs in our backyard:

Our dogs (Santa, Sammy, Frederico),

my grandpa's old as dirt mini poodle (Spunky),

the dog we are trying to find a home for (Harry),

and the boxer (Oscar).

That was just too many dogs for our tiny house and backyard. SO we needed to find Oscar (and Harry) a home. Plus, I am semi-allergic to dogs, I have allergies at first and then I adjust and am fine. With Oscar, however, he gave me hives wherever he licked me.

So we were desperate to find him a home. We looked for about a week and then found out that Scott's brother, Jeff, would possibly want a new dog. So we called him and talked to him (and so did Scott's sister Shannon, Thanks!) and he said that he would take Oscar! Yay!

So we placed our first dog in a new home!!!! My dog rescue business has begun!

The next dog we are looking to place is Harry, a sweet, housebroken, non shedding terrier mix with the largest head you have ever seen :) If anyone is interested, let me know. Harry just wants a good home!

Scott's EMT Graduation

So Scott graduated from the EMT program at Crafton Hills College on May 20th. It was a while ago, but my life has been crazy and I haven't had time to document it :) He was 4th in his class of 30! I am sooooo proud of him! He worked hard, having study groups at our house every Wednesday and Sunday night, and he studied all the time! He got to help present a plaque from his class to his professor. He passed the EMT National Registry a week or so later and is now a certified EMT! If you need medical help, just let him know :)
