House Hunting

So Scott and I decided to go house hunting in Beaumont on Saturday. We had seen a sign for Pardee homes that said advertised homes from the high $100s. So we went to check it out. We went to Tournament Hills, though they weren't the ones that were selling for the advertised prices. We still stayed to look around the models though. They were all really nice, the one that we liked, Model 3, was about $230,000. The stairs created an archway over the foyer and the house was spaced out really nicely. I'm also in love with 2nd floor landings that look over the living room or dining area, and this house had that. The community was also very nice, there was a man made lake at the entrance with long paths and nice landscaping all around it. There are fish in the lake and you can catch and release fish in there. As we were walking along the path, we crossed a bridge and spotted a dead cat fish floating near the shore. Up to that point we hadn't realized that there were fish in the lake and we were excited so I made Scott go pick it up. He wasn't too thrilled, but he held it long enough for me to get a photo.
We liked the house, looked at some lots, but we're still in love with the Hogan Drive, Beaumont house more. This is a house that WSR trashed out and I saw through the photos. Scott and I went to visit it yesterday and it is still amazing. Its about $260,000 but is 700 sq. ft bigger than the house in Tournament Hills. It has a big back yard and tile downstairs and carpet upstairs. With all our dogs, that is exactly what we want cause then we can have the dogs in an area where an indoor accident won't be such a big deal. We are hoping that it will stay on the market until the beginning of next year when we are ready to buy. There are 4 other houses on that street for sale so we're hoping that this one is the last one to go, and that it goes to us. Fingers crossed!

Looking at houses is very exciting! Don't forget about Texas! It's all the rage. Even Sean and Anno are moving here! For 200,000 you can get so much more here! Plus, they pay teachers about the same and our state isn't bankrupt! Whatever you decide, we're very excited for you guys!

I was looking as some at san onofrea (i dont know if that is how you spell it) and they said that you can have up to like 8 people at one site! So I told greg that we needed to go with you guys! I was thinking for probably three days! it would be so much fun! and we could hang out at the beach all day and then camp at night! anyways, I'm not sure when we are going down there, we were going to go over gregs birthday (august 21) but he now has a friend getting married on august 6 so me might be going then! I'll bug him to make up his mind and then I'll call you and maybe we can reserve a site if you guys want to! I hope everything is going great!!! I miss you bunches! Love you guys lots!
